What is Freshstart?
Freshstart is a group-based tobacco cessation counseling program. The program is designed to help participants quit tobacco by providing essential information, skills for coping with cravings, and group support.
Freshstart is a facilitator-lead program. To implement the Freshstart program at your organization, a representative must register and complete Freshstart Facilitator training. After completing training process, that person can access the program materials and begin offering Freshstart in your organization.

Please Note: You or someone from your organization will deliver Freshstart. American Cancer Society staff are not available to deliver Freshstart classes.
How Effective is Freshstart?
Freshstart incorporates the most up-to-date guidelines for tobacco cessation. The evidence-based approach is geared toward helping participants increase their motivation to quit, learn effective approaches for quitting, and guides them to make a successful quit attempt.
