The American Cancer Society Recognizes
Excellence in Workplace Tobacco Control Award Winners

Congratulations to the following companies for receiving the American Cancer Society Excellence in Workplace Tobacco Control Award. Each organization has helped its employees take steps to stay well by providing outstanding tobacco cessation programs, policies, and benefit coverage to encourage tobacco cessation at the workplace.

American Cancer Society Excellence in Workplace Tobacco Control Award criteria*:

  • Tobacco Use Workplace Policy: The company institutes a comprehensive tobacco-use policy that is communicated and enforced throughout all company owned or leased locations and vehicles in the US).
  • Workplace Programs: The company provides employees with access to telephonic tobacco cessation services (i.e., a quitline) or online/on-site group support programs at no cost (through outside vendor or health plan). Companies to provide documentation of on-going promotional plan, including any employee incentive programs
  • Employee Health Benefits: Over-the-counter nicotine replacement therapy medications (patch, gum) are provided to employees at no cost through company health plans or a contracted vendor. Company health plans should provide coverage for prescription cessation medications.

*Companies must have a minimum of 1,000 employees to be eligible.
