What is Active for Life?

Active for Life Online is a flexible, 10-week program that uses individual and group strategies to encourage people to be more active on a regular basis. The layout of the program makes it clear to participants that you don't have to be an athlete to participate in Active for Life Online. Everyday activities such as walking at lunchtime or taking the stairs instead of the elevator can add up to big health benefits. Employees set their own goals by taking an honest look at their current activity level and realistically making improvements. Physical activities can include anything from moderate exercise such as walking and yard work, to more strenuous activities like running, swimming, or playing tennis.

How Does It Work?

Participants receive points for time they are active throughout the day. This motivational record helps employees monitor their progress so they experience a sense of accomplishment as they move toward their personal goal. Coworkers share a sense of teamwork and peer encouragement by being part of Active for Life.
